Virginia & Todd

2026 Ford Transit

148” Ext Wheelbase

Built for extended travel without giving up the comforts of home, Virginia & Todd’s 2026 Ford Transit 148” Extended combines a warm, thoughtfully designed interior with serious off-grid capability. Deep blue shaker-style cabinetry, soft neutral walls, custom upholstery, and natural acacia butcher block countertops give the space a comfortable residential feel, while the Flarespace sleeping system creates a dedicated transverse bed without sacrificing valuable living space.

The kitchen is designed to make life on the road genuinely practical, with a large Isotherm drawer refrigerator, induction cooktop, combination microwave/convection oven, undermount sink, and pull-down faucet. A 24-gallon fresh water tank, 20-gallon underbody grey tank, water filtration, and electric hot water provide the essentials for longer stays away from campgrounds.

Powering it all is a robust electrical system built around 920Ah of Epoch lithium battery capacity and a 3,000W Xantrex inverter/charger. A dedicated 280A secondary alternator and 400 watts of rooftop solar keep the system charged on the move and at camp, providing plenty of capacity for extended off-grid travel. Climate control comes from a Dometic RTX 2000 air conditioner and Espar gasoline heater, making the van comfortable through changing seasons and climates.

Outside, the Transit is equally prepared for adventure. A Van Compass Stage 4 Topo 2.0 suspension package, Black Rhino Arsenal wheels, and Falken Wildpeak AT4W tires improve capability and confidence beyond the pavement. A low-profile roof rack, Fiamma awning, side ladder, and roof-mounted Starlink Mini round out a setup designed for spending more time outside—and farther from traditional campsites.

Virginia & Todd’s Transit was built to make extended travel simple: comfortable enough to feel like home, capable enough to explore beyond the campground, and equipped with the power, water, connectivity, and storage to stay out there longer.
